Starknet Foundation Set to Imminently Distribute 1.8 Billion STRK Tokens
Starknet, a key player in advancing Ethereum scalability through StarkWare technology, is preparing to distribute over 1.8 billion STRK tokens, as disclosed in a recent Friday tweet. This strategic initiative entails allocating 900 million STRK to the foundation's Provisions Committee and an additional 900 million for user rebates.

Starknet is about each of you. Every user, builder and member of our community – existing and future – is a critical piece to building our network into the future of decentralisation for generations to come. The success…
StarkWare's inventive methodology tackles Ethereum blockchain challenges, such as sluggish throughput and elevated transaction fees, by employing ZK rollup technologies. These technologies consolidate multiple transactions off the primary blockchain, mitigating computational strain and optimizing overall efficiency.
In an effort to cultivate community involvement, the Starknet Foundation reserved 50 million STRK tokens for the Early Community Member Program (ECMP) in October. The objective is to motivate and acknowledge early contributors to the Starknet ecosystem.
The Provisions Committee, endowed with 900 million STRK, assumes a crucial role in recognizing and rewarding contributions, past and future, from users and community members. Concurrently, an equivalent 900 million tokens are dedicated to user rebates, with Starknet actively devising the initiative. A newly established committee is anticipated to supervise the STRK distribution, ensuring users receive proper acknowledgment for their pivotal transactions on the network.
This strategic allotment and commitment to community involvement underscore the Starknet Foundation's dedication to nurturing expansion, incentivizing contributions, and addressing Ethereum ecosystem challenges. As distribution plans unfold, the foundation stands ready to propel scalability and user engagement in the ever-evolving realm of blockchain technology.
