HashKey Capital, a financial services firm specializing in digital assets and operating under regulatory oversight in Hong Kong, is taking a unique approach to its investment strategy. As reported by Reuters, the company has unveiled its plan to diversify its investment fund by allocating a substantial portion to alternative cryptocurrencies, moving beyond the traditional investments in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Portfolio manager Jupiter Zheng has revealed that less than half of the fund's total assets will be dedicated to BTC and ETH. This strategic decision aims to encourage diversification across smaller-cap digital assets, commonly known as altcoins. Altcoins encompass a wide range of cryptocurrencies apart from Bitcoin and collectively account for roughly 50% of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization.

The fund, which recently began its operations, has garnered the attention of high-net-worth individuals and investment firms catering to affluent Asian families. HashKey Capital, headquartered in Singapore, introduced this fund approximately a month ago with the ambitious goal of raising $100 million exclusively for digital asset investments. This initiative aligns with the resurgence of Hong Kong as a prominent global cryptocurrency hub, fueled by the establishment of a regulatory framework for digital assets in the region.

As of the time of this report, HashKey Capital had not provided any further information in response to inquiries from Bitsday.
