A notable increase in selling pressure is discernible as miner reserves experience a decline, according to insights from CryptoQuant. Bitcoin reserves, housed within miners' wallets, have descended to their lowest levels since May. This trend, propelled by recent withdrawals, signifies a potential upswing in sales, coinciding with Bitcoin's impressive 13% gain in December.

The dwindling miner reserves, indicative of coins being moved to crypto exchanges, raise the possibility of an imminent sale. The ongoing balancing act initiated by miners since late October has seen a consistent decrease in reserves, now reaching 1.832 million BTC, down from the peak of 1.845 million observed in October.

A noteworthy revelation from AliCharts on social media platform X underscores this trend, reporting that miners executed a significant sell-off of 3,000 BTC in the past 24 hours, translating to approximately $129 million. Bitcoin's current trading value stands at $42,891, slightly below the previous day's peak of $43,710.

Data analysis reveals a net outflow of bitcoin on December 28, with a minus 1,524 BTC, signaling that withdrawals surpassed the number of newly minted coins. This reinforces the narrative of heightened selling activity among miners.

Looking ahead, the upcoming halving scheduled for April, which will reduce miner rewards to 3.125 BTC per block from 6.25 BTC, has analysts predicting a potential supply shock. Speculation abounds that this event could drive Bitcoin's value to $160,000. Market participants are vigilantly monitoring these developments, acknowledging the potential impact on Bitcoin's overall dynamics and market value.
