Ramp Network, a startup specializing in creating payment infrastructure that bridges the gap between cryptocurrency and traditional finance, has recently integrated the Pix system introduced by the Brazilian Central Bank.

This move signifies a substantial expansion of Ramp's operations into South America, where the company established a local entity in July, underscoring its dedication to establishing a stronger presence across the entire Latin American region.

The Pix system, launched by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) in 2021, enables individuals, businesses, and government entities to conduct rapid payments. Ramp asserts that this system sees active use by over 70% of the Brazilian population, highlighting its widespread adoption.

Through the integration of Pix, Ramp is now poised to offer Brazilian users a swift and user-friendly means of acquiring cryptocurrencies.

Brazil has emerged as a significant focal point for the crypto industry within the region. Major industry leaders such as Coinbase and Bitget have entered the market in the past year, both of which have seamlessly integrated with the Pix system. This further underscores the growing importance of Brazil in the global crypto landscape.
