The team responsible for the widely-used Ethereum-native wallet issued an advisory earlier today, alerting users to the temporary unavailability of their application on Apple's app store.

Thankfully, it appears that the situation has been successfully addressed, and MetaMask can once again be freely downloaded by Apple users.

On October 14, a number of users encountered difficulties while attempting to locate and download the MetaMask app from Apple's App Store. Frustrated by the situation, they took to X to voice their concerns.

Several hours later, the development team behind the wallet officially acknowledged the issue, reassuring users that it had no malicious intent and emphasizing their dedication to a swift resolution.

This incident occurred against the backdrop of a growing menace posed by counterfeit MetaMask applications proliferating on the internet, resulting in numerous compromised accounts. Notably, even the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, fell victim to one of these fraudulent apps.

In response to these emerging threats, the MetaMask team urged users to exercise caution and refrain from placing trust in suspicious applications, as highlighted in their tweet.

In a development update posted less than an hour after the initial announcement, the team confirmed that the MetaMask app has been restored to the App Store. As of the time of writing this article, we can confirm the app's presence and availability for download.
